SADLER 26 - Number 42 - Built 1983

Modifications and Upgrades - Detail

Faria Tachometer

Mounted on the after interior cabin bulkhead above the sink as not sufficiently waterproof to mount in the cockpit.

Alternator driven. Some alternator re-wiring required.

Tiller Restraint Lugs

Originals were insufficiently robust and had bent 45deg inboard.
Water leaked past the seals. New larger lugs solved the problems.

Cheek Blocks

As mounted they offer an imperfect sheet lead to the winch. Block needs to be positioned on an angled pad. One cheek block sheave has broked up. Replacements for both are pending.

Cockpit Bulkhead Forward

Old instruments removed and replaced with combined Speed/Depth repeater.

Stainless steel plate, incorporating harness attachment, fabricated to cover old instrument holes.

MLY Cockpit Grating.
New tiller pilot fitted. Separate power feed installed so that old tiller pilot can be kept as backup.
Continuous water leakage via tiller pilot mounting sockets. Cured by applying copious amounts of sikaflex around the sockets from underneath
